NorthWoods Living History
NorthWoods Living History is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and study of military history. Our focus is on military tactics, uniforms, transportation and weaponry worldwide. Our goal is the art of war through the eyes of the common soldier in the time period for which they lived.
NorthWoods Living History allows us the venue for live, living history; a hands-on experience in teaching, learning and portraying the everyday life of the common soldier. We are a family-oriented organization and welcome all walks of life. We welcome all ages in active participation in our historical recreations, and active fundraising.
We are an active part of many communities that include local and state fundraising activities with public and private museums, veteran medical centers, VA hospitals, park and recreation areas, VFW and American Legion posts, veteran flights and restoration projects.
We honor our nation's veterans by raising awareness of the life, hardships, loss and survival of war. We educate the public in what it may have been like living in combat, along with the lives affected back home. We honor service and sacrifice.
NorthWoods Living History is based in the United States, upper Midwest. Our association rules and regulations are based on the U.S. Constitution, U.S. Bill of Rights and U.S. Amendments. We follow state and federal weapons regulations and amendments. All our members will follow all laws of the country and state in which the organization attends.
We are not a political organization; we do not (and will not) accept any political extremist persons, members or organizations. We do not accept hate or politically motivated organizations, people, places or things.
